The state agency that runs veterans affairs programs in Minnesota has a new leader.
Deputy Commissioner Michael Pugliese was elevated Wednesday to replace his boss, Clark Dyrud, who is retiring after leading the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs since 2005.
Pugliese, who is subject to state Senate confirmation, will earn $108,393 per year
He has worked in the department since 2001 and is a veteran of the Marine Corps.
