Call it e-stalking.
Minnesota legislators will consider a bill Thursday that would make it a crime to stalk someone via text messaging.
The proposal from Rep. Debra Hilstrom of Brooklyn Center, a Democrat, would broaden current law to include any new technology that can be used to stalk someone. Repeated, unwanted text messages would go on a list that already includes unwanted telephone calls, letters, telegrams and packages.
It goes before a House committee on public safety.
