Cities along rivers in Minnesota should have a better idea of the spring flood threat when the National Weather Service releases an updated flood outlook Friday.
In February, officials said major flooding is likely in downtown and Delano this spring.
The flood threat increased because Minnesota had a wet October, followed by a cold December, then snowstorms around Christmas and Martin Luther King Day. Flooding depends on when and how the snowpack melts.
