Minnesota lawmakers are brushing aside Olympic rivalries to celebrate the state's cultural and economic ties with Canada.
The House and the Senate vote Monday on a resolution recognizing it as "Canada Day at the Capitol." Lawmakers will also hear from Canada's top diplomat in the Upper Midwest.
Canada's consul general estimates about 141,000 Minnesota jobs are supported by trade between the two countries.
