The man who was fatally stabbed in Minneapolis over the weekend has been identified as 25-year-old Drew Heinkel.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office released his name early Monday. A news release says Heinkel's death was a homicide and that he died of "sharp force injuries" to the chest.
Authorities say the Minneapolis man was stabbed late Saturday night on Dupont Avenue North. He died at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale.
No arrests have been announced.
Police ask anyone with information about the stabbing to call the Minneapolis Police Department tip line at 612-692-TIPS (8477).
