Two men have been indicted on federal murder charges in the 2007 slayings of three people in a St. Paul home.
The U.S. attorney's office says 28-year-old Tyvarus Lee Lindsey and 31-year-old Rashad Raleigh could face life in prison or the death penalty if convicted.
According to police reports, 31-year-old Otahl Saunders, 32-year-old Maria McLay and 15-year-old Brittany Kekedakis were shot in the head and killed on March 23, 2007. Two younger children escaped. Police had described the killings as a robbery attempt by intruders who likely knew the victims.
Raleigh is already serving a life sentence for the beating death of former Villanova basketball star Howard Porter. In exchange for his plea in that case, Ramsey County prosecutors didn't prosecute Raleigh in the triple slaying. But he always faced the possibility of federal charges.
