A memorial service will be held Friday for a Hutchinson man who died about two months after being found unconscious in a northern Minnesota cabin where his parents died of carbon monoxide poisoning.
An obituary says 22-year-old Michael Schwarze died Dec. 18 at Bethesda Hospital in St. Paul. A cause of death was not listed.
His parents, Lee and Nancy Schwarze, also of Hutchinson, died in October at their cabin near Longville. Michael Schwarze was found at the cabin unconscious and was flown to HCMC in Minneapolis.
Cass County Sheriff Randy Fisher says authorities suspect a poorly ventilated gas heater may be to blame.
