A group of Vietnam veterans say they have made their last three-day walk from Anoka to the St. Joseph home of Jerry and Patty Wetterling.
They started the 60-mile walk when the couple's son Jacob Wetterling went missing 20 years ago.
Patty Wetterling was waiting for the 20 walkers Sunday at the spot where Jacob was last seen 20 years ago in October. Jerry Wetterling was with them.
The veterans were hoping to raise awareness and keep cases like Jacob's in the public eye.
Organizer Mike Clark said their walk five years ago was going to be their last, but their thoughts changed with the 20th anniversary of Jacob's disappearance. But the men, who are now in their 60s, say the grueling three-day march is just too much.
