A group of students at the University of Minnesota say they want more information about the fees they're charged to attend the U of M.
Fees can run from $1,500 to $2,200 per year, depending on the courses a student takes.
Jennifer McCabe, a junior at the University of Minnesota's Duluth campus, says in particular students want a better break down of the $1,200 a year University Fee.
"And we don't really have an understanding of where it goes," McCabe said. "And the explanation of where it can go is extremely broad, and while we're not trying to eliminate the possibilities of where it can go, we hope to know specific amounts each semester."
McCabe told the University of Minnesota's Board of Regents Friday that one possible remedy would be to provide Web links to fee information when students pay their bills online.
