Day care provider's son arrested in molestation

Police have arrested the son of a St. Cloud day care provider in the alleged molestation of a 5-year-old girl.

Sgt. Lori Ellering said Friday that the child was sexually assaulted over an 18-month period at the day care.

The provider's 18-year-old son is being held in the Stearns County Jail awaiting possible charges of first-degree criminal sexual conduct.

Ellering told the St. Cloud Times the day care's license has been suspended by the Stearns County Human Services Department because of the case.

It's unknown whether there are other victims. Police have notified the families of other children at the day care.
