As the debate over health care reform plays out, and H1N1 flu continues in the news, more and more people are anxious about their health, and a lot of people are making themselves more anxious by looking for medical sites online.
It's never been easier to plug your symptoms into a search engine, and try to get a diagnosis on the Web.
But there are side-affects to this approach to medicine, a trend researchers are calling "cyberchondria." Our medical analyst, Dr. Jon Hallberg is well-aware of this affliction and he joined Tom Crann to talk about it.
Dr. Jon Hallberg is medical director of the Mill City Clinic in Minneapolis and the regular medical analyst on MPR's All Things Considered.
