Two Minnesota college football teams will continue their bids for national championships Saturday.
The University of Minnesota-Duluth and University of St. Thomas are both in the second round of the NCAA football playoffs. UMD plays in Division Two; St. Thomas is a Division Three team.
St. Thomas (10-1) will host Coe College of Iowa (10-1) at noon. It's the first time the Tommies have played a home playoff game since 1990 and the first time in team history they have won ten games in a season. This is the Tommies' second season under new head coach Glenn Caruso.
UMD (11-1) will host Grand Valley State (11-1) at noon. The Bulldogs are vying to win their second straight national championship. Grand Valley State was one of the teams the Bulldogs beat last year en route to that title.
