A series of traffic accidents in southeastern Minnesota had emergency responders hopping for several hours.
Less than two hours after the fatal tour bus crash near Austin Wednesday afternoon, 10 people were injured in north Rochester when a Wabasha-Kellogg school bus and a car collided.
Eight students were taken to Saint Marys Hospital, but none of their injuries were serious. The driver of the car and his passenger had serious but not life-threatening injuries.
Minutes later, a Gold Cross ambulance en route to the school bus crash collided with a car, then both cars collided with two more cars. Two people were hospitalized from that crash.
An hour later in nearby Byron, firefighters rescued a 21-year-old Rochester woman and her baby after the woman's car plunged into the Zumbro River. They were uninjured.
