An Army reservist who was living in the Twin Cities area was one of 30 people wounded in a shooting at Fort Hood in Texas, her family said.
Keara Bono Torkelson was wounded but has been treated and released from the hospital, her husband, Joey Torkelson, said in a Facebook posting.
Joey Torkelson and Keara's family, who are from Missouri, had all flown to Texas after Thursday's shooting, which left 13 people dead.
Her family told the Kansas City Star that Joey Torkelson was on the phone with Keara when the shooting happened. He heard shots and screams before the phone went dead.
The newspaper also reported Keara Torkelson was scheduled to be in Iraq by Dec. 7.
