3rd person charged in Richfield pawn shop homicide

Richfield police say a third person has been charged in a pawn shop robbery and homicide.

Police say prosecutors charged 57-year-old Rosalyn Dion McDonald-Richards on Monday with first-degree murder in the death of 33-year-old Malcolm Cowens, a customer at Avi's Pawn and Jewelry store.

McDonald-Richards, who was in jail Monday, allegedly drove Calvin Anderson and Johnny Perry to the pawn shop the evening of Sept. 28 and drove them away afterward. The two men were charged earlier.

The complaint also alleges McDonald-Richards cased the pawn shop earlier in the day and drew a layout of the shop on an envelope for Perry and Anderson.
