The University of Minnesota opens its new football stadium for public tours on Sunday. The public can check out the recently opened TCF Bank Stadium from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The event kicks off a week of homecoming events at the U of M.
The $288 million stadium will be open for self-guided tours. The public can wander out onto the playing field, and step inside the Gopher's football shaped locker room. University officials say this is the only time the locker room will be open to the public.
The tours are free but visitors are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item for the Emergency Foodshelf Network.
