House panel to review Red River flood prevention projects

Some of the lawmakers who pick state-financed construction projects will look at preventing Red River flooding.

The House Capital Investment Committee will tour flood prevention projects in Breckenridge, Moorhead, Ada, Crookston and other locations on Wednesday.

Some of the projects have received, or are seeking state money.

The panel's members will also attend a meeting of the Red River Basin Commission Board, which includes representatives from Manitoba, North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, tribal governments and the federal government.
