People eager to get a glimpse of the Minnesota Twins' new ballpark are getting that chance - as long as they're in Duluth.
The government authority that's overseeing construction of Target Field will host a hearing Friday in the northern Minnesota city 150 miles from the new ballpark. The meeting includes a video tour of the ballpark, which is slated to open for baseball next spring.
Construction should be mostly done by year's end. Already, all steel supports are up, the scoreboard is in place and the field lighting is ready too.
The stadium is being paid for primarily with a higher sales tax in Hennepin County. So far $394 million has been spent. The budget calls for a total cost of $545 million.
