Gov. Tim Pawlenty and former U.S. House Speaker Newt Gingrich are scheduled to speak Wednesday at the University of Minnesota.
The two Republicans, who are often mentioned as possible presidential candidates in 2010, will participate in a health care reform workshop titled "Creating a 21st Century Intelligent Health System in Minnesota." Pawlenty and Gingrich will present "The Future of Health and Healthcare in Minnesota," a conversation focusing on current opportunities and strategies within the state of Minnesota. Gingrich is founder of the Center for Health Transformation.
Earlier in the day, Minnesota Department of Human Services Commissioner Cal Ludeman will moderate a panel discussion on health information technology.
