Think of it as a Zen exercise: the sound of forty cellos playing! You won't have to imagine, you could experience that warm, wonderfully full-throated sound this weekend at the SPCO Center.
"An Exuberance of Cellos" concert is the brain child of Minnesota Orchestra cellist Mina Fischer. The performance will feature works for solo cello as well as ensemble pieces for two, four and forty cellos (and one lonely soprano).
Classical Minnesota Public Radio's Steve Staruch spoke with Mina Fisher and Kirsten Whitson in the Maud Moon Weyerhaeuser Studio.
Song performed: "Appalachian Waltz"
