Old rivalry
Stewart and Brownton are the two main towns in the McLeod West School District. For years, each had a separate district and school. After the merged district closed the Stewart school a few years ago, many Stewart parents moved their children out of the McLeod West district.

Lunch in the hallway
Students at McLeod West School in Brownton, Minn. have been eating lunch in the hallway since August, when they were forced out of the cafeteria after part of the building was condemned.
