The University of Minnesota has apparently earned a spot in the Guiness Book of World Records today for vaccinating the most people in one day against influenza.

The massive flu shot operation took place at four different locations around the Twin Cities campus.

University officials say 10,066 students and staffers received vaccinations by 4:30pm today. That shatters the old official record of 3,271 set by a hospital in Florida in 2006.

Among the thousands vaccinated today was our own medical analyst, Dr. Jon Hallberg, and he invited Tom Crann along.
