Former U-S Senator Dean Barkley says he's almost certain he will enter Minnesota's Senate race today. Barkley had been encouraging former Governor Jesse Ventura to run for the seat, but Ventura said last night he's not going to. Barkley served a brief stint in the Senate, when he was appointed by Ventura, after the death of Senator Paul Wellstone.

Barkley talked with MPR's Cathy Wurzer about his decision to run in the wake of Ventura's announcement.
