U.S. space shuttle Endeavour crewmembers Russian Sergei Krikalev (L) and U.S. Commander Bob Cabana (R) check readings from the U.S. Unity connecting module and the Russian Zarya control module, on the shuttle's aft flightdeck. The Endeavour and her six person crew were on the first International Space Station assembly mission to assemble the U.S. Unity connecting module with the Russian Zarya control module and ready them for operational status.
