The Norwegian ambassador to the United States says global warming is one of the major issues in his country.
Wegger Strommen stopped at Concordia College in Moorhead as part of a five-day tour of the Midwest. He told students in a Scandinavian studies class that the United States should play a key role in curbing greenhouse gases.
Afterward, Strommen wouldn't say if he thought the U.S. was doing enough in the campaign against global warming. He did say Americans are helping the cause with innovation and technology.
Strommen says global warming is a big issue in Norway because of the country's massive coastline and a love for outdoor life.
Strommen plans to visit the University of North Dakota today.
