Coon Rapids-based cardiovascular device manufacturer Possis Medical is being acquired for about $361 million. The company signed a merger agreement this week with Pensylvania-based MEDRAD Inc., an affiliate of Bayer HealthCare, one of the world's largest healthcare and medical product companies.
And, this is just one of several recent examples of local med tech companies being bought out.
To get an idea of whether these recent changes are indicating a larger trend for Minnesota's medical device industry, "All Things Considered" host spoke to Tim Nelson, a Senior Healthcare Equity Analyst with First American Funds (FAF) Advisors.
