Each December sees the release of another batch of new Christmas recordings. The Twin Cities' Summit Hill Brass Quintet has added to this year's releases with their second holiday CD, "Christmas Up North."
The quintet was formed 30 years ago and still includes three of the original members. The group's leader is trumpeter David Baldwin, a professor of trumpet at the University of Minnesota. Baldwin arranges much of the quintet's music.
The Summit Hill Brass Quintet stopped by Minnesota Public Radio's Maud Moon Weyerhaeuser studio to chat with host John Birge and play Chrsitmas music from the new CD.
