Minnesota's unemployment rate has risen to match the national average for the first time in more than 30 years.
Both the state and the nation's average unemployment numbers are at 4.5 percent. While the national numbers have remained steady recently, Minnesota's unemployment figures have climbed.
MPR's Tom Crann spoke with Steve Hine, director of research with the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development.
