The Department of Homeland Security says that Liberians currently living in the United States under Temporary Protected Status will have to leave by October 1, 2007 if they don't obtain legal status in another form.
Robin Washington, editorial page editor of the Duluth News Tribune, has some thoughts on the issue as well. He offers this commentary about whether the government should decide when and if a refugee returns to his or her home country.
