Ford Motor Company announced that about 10,000 salaried jobs will be cut and buyout offers are being offered to all hourly workers. An engine plant in Ontario and an assembly plant in Virginia are also going to close in 2007, a year earlier than expected. The Twin Cities Assembly Plant in St. Paul is still scheduled to close in 2008. Cathy Wurzer spoke with Marcey Evans, Public Affairs Manager of Human Resources, Labor Affairs and Healthcare at Ford Motor Co.
