The popular Honeycrisp apple today takes its place on the list of official Minnesota state symbols.
MPR's Tom Crann spoke with University of Minnesota horticulturist Jim Luby about the Honeycrisp. Luby and fellow apple breeder David Bedford introduced the "explosively delicious" apple in 1991.
