
Meet Denzel Belin
Denzel Belin is a newsroom coordinator for MPR News. He has also worked on special projects with MPR News, including Radio Camp.
Denzel is a skilled improvisor and has performed and taught at over 10 improv festivals across the country. He also works as a writer and actor at The Brave New Workshop Comedy Theater.
In addition to improv, Denzel works as a freelance director, writer and host within the Twin Cities, working with groups such as Minneapolis Musical Theater, Twin Cities Gay Men's Chorus and Pillsbury House + Theater. He also produces and hosts the Minnesota-focused, late-night style show “Minnesota Tonight.”
Denzel has a bachelor’s degree in theater and American Studies with a minor in media studies from St. Olaf College. He has two things that he gets every year at the Minnesota State Fair — duck bacon wontons from Giggle's Campfire Grill and a peach from The Produce Exchange.
