Daniel Ackerman joined the Water Main team in 2019 as a science communication fellow. His work centers around America’s aging water infrastructure. Prior to joining APM, Daniel has worked as a freelance environmental journalist for National Geographic, Ensia, and others. In 2018, he wrote for Scientific American through the AAAS Mass Media Fellowship. Daniel holds a PhD in ecology from the University of Minnesota and a B.A. in Environmental Studies from Carleton College.
