Freelance court interpreters working for the State of Minnesota say they'll begin refusing jobs starting Monday. A freelance interpreter told MPR News their wages have stagnated while pay for judges and other essential courtroom workers has risen. The state has proposed a $9 an hour pay bump for certified interpreters. The interpreters say that's not enough.
