A former Mayo Clinic doctor is accused of poisoning his wife, Betty, with colchicine. Connor Bowman was initially charged with second degree murder, but a grand jury convened in Olmsted County is now charging him with first degree, premeditated murder.
And the Minnesota Office of Lawyers Professional Responsibility said attorney Mike Padden forged a client's signature, repeatedly failed to appear at court hearings, and misappropriated client funds. Padden denied the allegations. In a statement, he called the investigation a "witch hunt."
