For this special state fair edition of Politics Friday, Mike Mulcahy talked with GOP candidate for governor Dr. Scott Jensen and DFL Secretary of State Steve Simon. And the MPR News politics reporting team — Brian Bakst, Dana Ferguson and Mark Zdechlik — looked ahead to the fall campaign season.

Note: DFL governor Tim Walz declined to appear in a debate at the state fair. GOP nominee for Secretary of State Kim Crockett was also unavailable. Both are invited to future episodes of Politics Friday.
