Mohamed Noor's third degree murder conviction thrown out

The Minnesota Supreme Court Wednesday reversed one of two convictions against a former Minneapolis Police officer who fatally shot Justine Ruzczyk in 2017. Mohamed Noor killed Ruzczyk while responding to her 9-1-1 call. The Supreme Court ruled that the third-degree murder conviction did not meet the standard of depraved indifference, because Noor intended to shoot the person who appeared at the squad’s driver’s side window that July evening.
