MPR News Update for July 29

Good morning! A fine Friday -- partly sunny with highs in the mid-70s to 80s. Can you feel the magic in the air? Harry Potter is back. Nine years after the last book in the seven-part series was released, and five years after the last film adaptation, J.K. Rowling has returned with a new piece of the wizarding saga. But this time it's not a book -- it's a script. "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child," which takes place 19 years after the battle of Hogwarts, will open on a London stage this Saturday night. Copies of the script will go on sale the next day. MPR News will be at the Red Balloon Bookshop in St. Paul for the midnight release party. Join us on Facebook Live. Here are other places around the state to celebrate. | Forecast
