It may be April, but the weather maps are screaming March across Wisconsin Tuesday into Wednesday. And it’s a close call for Minnesota.
A panhandle hook-type snow event looks likely in much of Wisconsin Tuesday into Wednesday. The system will bring rain, snow, and high winds Tuesday into Wednesday.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Global Forecast System model shows the system winding up and deepening with a swath of heavy snow across much of central and eastern Wisconsin Tuesday night into Wednesday.
Overall snowfall accumulations could reach a foot in parts of eastern Wisconsin. A few inches could fall in far southeastern Minnesota. Here’s another look at the the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts model snowfall output through Wednesday:
Temperatures this week will gradually rise. Highs on Tuesday will still be on the chilly side.
By Friday and Saturday, highs in the 50s and 60s will return.
