The weather maps are looking a lot more like spring as we move through the first week of April next week. But we may have a little more wintry-type weather to get through.
A minor weather system will sail through Minnesota Friday night. The system will produce a few rain showers for southern Minnesota, with some light snow to the north.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s NAM 3 km resolution model shows the precip mix between 1 p.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Saturday:
The European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts model shows some lighter snowfall accumulations across central and northern Minnesota through Friday night:

Highs Friday and through the upcoming weekend will ease back into the 40s in the south, with mostly 30s central and north.
A few models suggest a chance for rain and or snow on Monday.
Warmer next week
By midweek next week, milder breezes will blow across Minnesota. Highs should push well into the 50s by next Wednesday.
Some forecast models are cranking out highs in the 60s to near 70 degrees in the Twin Cities and southern Minnesota late next week. Spring may be sprung next week.
