Reasonable temps this coming week
It felt a lot like January on Saturday.
Our average Twin Cities high temp is 40 degrees on Nov. 19. Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport recorded a Saturday high temp of 23 degrees at 1 a.m., with metro area temps hovering in the upper teens during most of the daylight hours.
Our coldest average daily highs in the Twin Cities are 23 degrees, during the stretch from Jan. 10 to Jan. 24, so we truly had a taste of January weather on Saturday.

Sunday highs will be in the 20s in most of northern and central Minnesota, with 30s in southern Minnesota and parts of west-central Wisconsin:
Some spots in the metro area will reach the lower 30s.
Sunday afternoon wind gusts are expected to be mainly in the 15 to 20 mph range:
Forecast gusts are in knots, with 13 knots equal to 15 mph.

Back to high temps, Twin Cities metro area highs are projected to be in the upper 20s on Monday, followed by lower 30s Tuesday and mid 30s Wednesday, then lower 30s again on Thursday and Friday.
We could see metro area highs in the 30s next weekend. Our average Twin Cities high temperature retreats to the mid 30s by the end of November. The NWS Climate Prediction Center shows a tendency for above-normal temps in much of Minnesota and Wisconsin for the period from Nov. 27 to Dec. 3:
Flake chances Saturday night/early Sunday
A batch of light snow is expected to move into northwestern Minnesota late Saturday evening, then spread to the east and southeast overnight Saturday night. Some locations in the northern half of Minnesota, as well as northwestern Wisconsin, could see a few hours of light snow as the system moves through overnight. It looks like parts of the Twin Cities metro area could get clipped by a few light snow showers anytime between about 2 a.m. and 5 a.m. Sunday. West-central Wisconsin could also see a few of those light snow showers.
There will be a chance of lingering light snow showers in northeastern Minnesota and northwestern Wisconsin Sunday morning.

Western New York snow update
Lake-effect snow, which began on Thursday, continued into today in parts of western New York.
The storm total at Orchard Park, which is southeast of Buffalo, stood at 77 inches this morning!
