Heating back up Wednesday and Thursday
Hotter Wednesday; storms possible north
Things are heating back up for southern and western Minnesota Wednesday and Thursday. Northern Minnesota will see the risk of some thunderstorms.
Hotter conditions return
The same frontal boundary that drifted across Minnesota Tuesday and touched off a few thunderstorms will be moving back north Wednesday.
We’ll see things cool back closer toward normal at least — in the low to mid-80s south, 70s north Friday into Saturday — but temperatures will again tick back up into next week. The longer range 6-10 day outlook calls for above-normal temperatures.
Risk of storms for some Wednesday and Thursday
Northern Minnesota will see scattered showers and thunderstorms Wednesday.
There’s a marginal risk (level 1 out of 5) of severe storms in those areas Wednesday and even a slight risk (level 2 out of 5) in far northwest Minnesota.
