Blustery south winds continue to blow in warmer, more humid air. Northern and western Minnesota will see scattered showers and thunderstorms overnight and what’s left will drift southeast across the state.

Scattered showers have been moving across northern Minnesota Wednesday but more storms will develop in South and North Dakota and drift east late in the evening and overnight.

Those initial storms in the evening hours and shortly after midnight could be strong to severe. There’s a slight risk (level 2 out of 5) of severe storms in the eastern Dakotas into far western Minnesota.
