Fall color update for leaf-peepers
Much of Minnesota is will start out Saturday morning with temps in the 30s. Frost advisories continue until 9 a.m. this Saturday in much of western Minnesota and parts of central Minnesota, with freeze warnings in northwestern Minnesota and the far southwest:
The freeze warning in far southwestern Minnesota expires at 10 a.m. today.
Highs and winds
Our average Twin Cities high temp is 58 degrees on Oct. 16. Metro area highs will be around 60 Saturday afternoon. Parts of southwestern Minnesota will reach the lower 60s, with 50s in northern Minnesota:

Winds will gust over 20 mph in parts of eastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin this afternoon:
Forecast wind gusts are in knots, with 19 knots equal to about 22 mph.
Fall color update
The latest fall color report from the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources shows colors past peak in the dark-red shaded areas of northern and central Minnesota:
The percentage of changeover to fall colors is between 75% and 100% in the medium-red shaded areas, including parts of the west metro.
Keep in mind that all deciduous trees are included in the fall color report, not just maples.
