Cooldown begins Monday; rain likely by Wednesday
Monday will be a cooler, less-humid day. Enjoy sunshine across western Minnesota while the east side of the state should remain mostly cloudy. Rain from Iowa will spread northeast and scatter showers across southeastern Minnesota on their way into Wisconsin.
Monday’s high temperatures will be mainly in the 60s while the southwest might touch 70. Coolest highs will be upper 50s in the northeast and southeast tips of the state.
The Twin Cities should be mostly cloudy with a high near 67. Winds will be light. Our average high for today is 61.
Mostly sunny Tuesday
Tuesday will be sunnier but probably a bit cooler for most of the state.
Soggy midweek
A large weather system will bring widespread rain to Minnesota and surrounding states by midweek. Welcome rain should reach Minnesota Tuesday night and continue into Wednesday.
Cooldown continues later in the week
Temperatures will feel much more like October later this week. Look for highs in the 40s and 50s for Thursday and Friday.
Next weekend is likely to be a pleasant one with seasonable temperatures.
