Minnesota sees a comfortable stretch of fall weather

Rain chances return Wednesday through Friday

The first full week of fall brings a pleasant trend of 70s and 80s across most of Minnesota, with plenty of sunshine the first half of the week.

Sunday’s forecast

A disturbance moving across the state brought in a few more clouds overnight and a couple light showers in northern Minnesota.

Those clouds slowly clear through the day with most of the state under more sunshine by the afternoon.

The clouds helped keep morning temperatures mild for late September, with most of Minnesota starting Sunday in the 40s and 50s.

Twin Cities forecast through Wednesday

Monday brings a mix of highs in the 70s and low 80s, but almost all of Minnesota is forecast to see 80s Tuesday and Wednesday.

Here is that forecast for the Twin Cities:

Meanwhile, drier and mostly sunny weather prevails through Tuesday.

By Wednesday, clouds move back in from the west with showers starting to make their way into western Minnesota by evening.

The weather system itself may slide to the south of the state Thursday, so there is still some uncertainly on how much precipitation will make it into Minnesota, but most of the state can expect showers and a few storms Thursday and Friday.

That shift in the weather pattern also cools temperatures closer to average, with most of the state in the 60s and low 70s by next weekend.
