A classic last weekend of September
Patchy frost in northeast Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin Saturday morning. Much warmer by Sunday afternoon.
It’s a classic last weekend of September across Minnesota.
Crisp start Saturday
Saturday morning starts crisp and cool. Lows will be in the 40s across most of Minnesota early Saturday. But a few locations will dip into the upper 30s.
Highs Saturday will be in the 60s across most of Minnesota.
Breezy Saturday afternoon
If you’re heading out on the lakes this weekend, Saturday afternoon looks like the breeziest time. Winds from the west will blow between 10 and 20 mph, but remember gusts are usually higher on large bodies of open water.
Sunday brings lighter winds, more sunshine, and the warmer day of the weekend.
Warmth continues into early October?
The forecast maps suggest warmer than average temperatures will linger into early October. NOAA’s eight to 14-day outlook paints a big red bull’s eye favoring warmth over Minnesota and much of the U.S.
