Monday's weather is the coolest in weeks
Breezy winds continue through the day
Minnesota sees another day of below average temperatures, with most of the state seeing highs only in the 60s.
Monday’s weather
The same system that brought widespread rain to Minnesota Sunday also moved a cold front across the state. Behind that front, the state stays under a chillier flow Monday, with breezy winds out of the northwest.
That cool air combined with skies that cleared overnight allowed morning temperatures to drop into the 40s for most of Minnesota, with a few 50s south, including the Twin Cities. Highs will only be in the 60s, which is 10 to 15 degrees below average.
While it is not that unusual to have days occasionally that far below average, Minnesota has been so hot during the month of June that for most of the state, Monday will be the coolest day in over three weeks, since late May.

Skies stay mostly sunny through the day, although northern Minnesota may see a few more clouds and possible sprinkles, particularly in the afternoon.
The cooler weather does not last long, and temperatures shoot right back to hot by midweek.
