It’s a bright spring blue sky over the Weather Lab Tuesday afternoon.

That blue sky brings the promise of abundant sunshine and gradually milder temperatures this week. Then it appears our spring warming trend kicks into a higher gear next week.

Frosty start

The temperature bottomed out at 36 degrees at Minneapolis St. Paul International Airport and at St. Paul’s Holman Field this morning. But lows dipped into the lower 30s around the Twin Cities. Here are some select low temperatures from Tuesday morning around the Twin Cities.

  • MSP Airport 36 degrees

  • St. Paul Airport 36 degrees

  • Eden Prairie 34 degrees

  • Blaine 30 degrees

  • Lakeville 28 degrees

Back to the 60s

Highs in the 60s rule much of Minnesota the rest of this week. Wednesday brings more bright sunshine and plenty of 60s.
