Freeze warnings cover much of northeast Minnesota and northern Wisconsin into Friday morning.

Including the cities of International Falls, Ely, Isabella, Bigfork, Hibbing, and Grand Rapids

...FREEZE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO 9 AM CDT FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 28 expected.

* WHERE...Koochiching, North St. Louis, Northern Cook and Lake, North Itasca, Central St. Louis and South Itasca Counties. This includes the Tribal Lands of the Bois Forte Band, Deer Creek, Nett Lake and, Lake Vermillion areas.

* WHEN...From midnight tonight to 9 AM CDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Frost and freeze conditions will kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.

* WHAT...Temperatures as low as 32 will result in frost formation.

* WHERE...In Wisconsin, Douglas, Bayfield, Washburn and Sawyer Counties. In Minnesota, Southern Lake, Southern Cook, Northern Aitkin and Carlton and South St. Louis Counties. This includes the Tribal Lands of the Red Cliff Band, the Grand Portage Reservation, the Fond du Lac Band and the Mille Lacs Band, Big Sandy Lake area.

* WHEN...From midnight tonight to 9 AM CDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Frost could kill sensitive outdoor vegetation if left uncovered.

Hibbing and Tower dipped to 24 degrees Thursday morning. Temperatures will dive into the 20s and 30s again over a large area of northeast Minnesota and Wisconsin Friday morning. The Twin Cities area escapes an early frost once again with lows in the lower 40s.
