* WHAT...Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 28 expected.
* WHERE...Koochiching, North St. Louis, Northern Cook and Lake, North Itasca, Central St. Louis and South Itasca Counties. This includes the Tribal Lands of the Bois Forte Band, Deer Creek, Nett Lake and, Lake Vermillion areas.
* WHEN...From midnight tonight to 9 AM CDT Friday.
* IMPACTS...Frost and freeze conditions will kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.
Frost advisories ring the freeze zone.
Including the cities of Two Harbors, Silver Bay, Grand Marais, Hill City, Duluth, Superior, Washburn, Bayfield, Spooner, and Hayward

* WHAT...Temperatures as low as 32 will result in frost formation.
* WHERE...In Wisconsin, Douglas, Bayfield, Washburn and Sawyer Counties. In Minnesota, Southern Lake, Southern Cook, Northern Aitkin and Carlton and South St. Louis Counties. This includes the Tribal Lands of the Red Cliff Band, the Grand Portage Reservation, the Fond du Lac Band and the Mille Lacs Band, Big Sandy Lake area.
* WHEN...From midnight tonight to 9 AM CDT Friday.
* IMPACTS...Frost could kill sensitive outdoor vegetation if left uncovered.
Hibbing and Tower dipped to 24 degrees Thursday morning. Temperatures will dive into the 20s and 30s again over a large area of northeast Minnesota and Wisconsin Friday morning. The Twin Cities area escapes an early frost once again with lows in the lower 40s.

Weekend warming trend
Temperatures begin to moderate this weekend. Saturday brings highs int he upper 60s to most areas. Sunday brings a return to 70-degree readings across most of Minnesota.
Late summerlike pattern next week
The upper air maps still favor a warming trend next week.
Highs in the 80s return to much of Minnesota by Tuesday, with 70s up north.
